A master roadmap for the current state, near-term priorities, medium-term goals, long-term vision, and national expansion path for TranspoFairfax.

Current State

  • Static HTML knowledge base established
  • Projects, communities, corridors, and categories organized
  • Resources, glossary, FAQ, maps, and contacts created
  • Archive, document library, meeting archive, and change log established
  • Governance, contributor, editorial, and style guides completed
  • Portal, site directory, dashboard, handbook, and release notes created

Near-Term Priorities

  • Expand individual project pages
  • Update homepage navigation
  • Cross-link all major hubs
  • Review broken links and missing pages
  • Strengthen project status labels
  • Add more source references and document links
  • Improve public-facing discoverability

Medium-Term Goals

  • Standardize all project pages using the project template
  • Improve community and corridor pages with live project links
  • Develop archive records for major documents and meetings
  • Prepare for PHP includes or shared templates
  • Begin structured project data collection
  • Create a searchable index prototype

Long-Term Vision

National Transportation Knowledge Network

The long-term vision is for TranspoFairfax to serve as a proof-of-concept for a broader transportation knowledge model that could be adapted by other communities, counties, regions, and states.

Next Practical Steps

  2. Update Resources Hub to include all major guides.

  5. Begin expanding individual project pages using the standard template.
