Transportation Projects • People • Funding
A future vision for an intelligent assistant that can answer questions about transportation projects, corridors, agencies, funding, documents, meetings, timelines, and community impacts.
The Transportation AI Assistant would allow residents to ask plain-language questions about transportation projects and receive clear, current, understandable answers based on structured TranspoFairfax records.
The long-term vision includes both written and spoken responses. A resident could type or speak a question and receive a plain-language answer, with links to project pages, source documents, and related resources.
An AI assistant is only useful if the underlying information is organized. That is why TranspoFairfax is building project pages, data fields, archives, meeting records, change logs, and a data dictionary before moving toward automated answers.
The Transportation Advisory Collaboration Initiative provides the structure that makes a future AI assistant possible. TAC organizes projects, people, funding, agencies, documents, meetings, issues, and history into a connected knowledge system.
